Congratulations to our incredible KV Middle School musicians! 🎵
25 of our talented students were chosen by Ms. Sulahian to perform in the 2024 Montgomery County Middle School Concert Band! These outstanding musicians joined forces with students from five other schools across Montgomery County for this prestigious honor.
After four intensive rehearsals collaborating with directors from participating schools, they delivered an amazing performance last night at Abington Senior High School. The highlight? A rousing rendition of the Eagles fight song! 🦅
Students were selected based on their exceptional musicianship, school involvement, and contributions to our community. We couldn't be prouder of our young musicians representing KV Middle School on this special stage!

Happy Lunar New Year! Wishing those who celebrate strength, prosperity, and joy.

KV NJHS students made a big impact during the MLK Sock Roll! Over the past two weeks, they collected donations and worked together to create 357 sock rolls—each including granola bars and peanut butter crackers wrapped inside a pair of socks. These thoughtful creations will be delivered to those in need through The Giving Tree.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and supported this meaningful cause!

🎶 The Music Continues! 🎻🎺
Tonight, our amazing fifth graders wowed the audience at their Winter Concert, filling the room with energy and incredible performances from the band and orchestra. Their talent and dedication were on full display, making it a night to remember!
A huge shoutout to our music teachers for their guidance and to all the families who came out to cheer on these young musicians. Bravo to our fifth grade performers! 👏

Last night, the talented Keith Valley musicians filled the auditorium with incredible sounds during their Winter Concert! The event featured outstanding performances from the 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade band and jazz bands, leaving the audience in awe of their hard work and dedication.
A special shout-out to the 7th-grade major students, who showcased their impressive growth and highlighted the benefits of this year's new schedule change.
Thank you to the amazing music educators for guiding these students and to all the families and community members who came out to support the arts.

Our high school students created an unforgettable Stall Day to support Mini-Thon! 🌟 The mission was simple but powerful: classes were paused for an extra minute for every dollar raised.
Every dollar collected goes directly to supporting pediatric cancer research and assisting families affected by childhood cancer.

Due to the forecasted snow, the Hatboro-Horsham School District is CLOSED tomorrow, Monday, January 6, 2025.
With a winter weather advisory in place, we are facing steady snow from early morning throughout the day. While snow totals may not be extensive, any snow on top of already-frozen ground will make clearing the roads and walkways throughout the day difficult, creating hazardous conditions. Travel to school is predicted to be challenging.
All after-school and evening events, including the School Board meeting and all community events held in district facilities, are canceled for Monday, January 6.
The Keystone Exams scheduled at the high school for January 6 will be postponed until January 7.
Twelve-month district staff will work remotely.
Essential employees, including maintenance and custodial personnel, will receive direction from their supervisor.
Please be safe.

Please see below for a weather emergency protocol reminder email sent out today:
Dear Hatboro-Horsham Families and Staff,
This email serves as a reminder of protocols and communication for weather emergencies.
We realize these situations are challenging for families to navigate personal, work, and childcare schedules. As such, we aim to communicate any potential changes to the school schedule as early as possible.
Reminders about weather emergency protocols:
• During a 2-hour delay, students should report to their bus stops 2 hours later than their scheduled bus arrival times. Families are encouraged to enroll in the Here Comes the Bus app for transportation updates. On delayed arrival days, district childcare also opens 2 hours later, at 8:30 am.
• When making an early morning determination, we aim to communicate a school decision no later than 5:30 am, two hours before the start of our High School.
• We will share our decision through our messenger system so that you will receive an email, phone call, and text message, based on your personal settings. It is critical to ensure that your contact information in PowerSchool is accurate in order to receive these notifications directly. To review your PowerSchool account, please visit https://ps.hatboro-horsham.org/public/home.html.
• Decisions are also broadcast more broadly on the district website, social media (Facebook, X, Instagram), and local television networks (6abc, Fox29, CBS3, NBC10).
• The District provides school breakfast and lunches for students regardless of the schedule.
• We constructed the school calendar to include two weather emergency days. On the first two days schools are closed, there is no instruction. Beginning on the third closure, we will hold virtual instructional days.
We are committed to the safety of our students. Safety is prioritized when making decisions, including whether students and staff can safely travel or be transported to and from school.
We appreciate your understanding of our decision-making process and communication protocols.
Thank you,
Scott T. Eveslage, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
