Good Morning, Hatboro-Horsham students, faculty, and staff
Today is Monday, November 10th, and it is BLACK Day.
Today marks the start of the 2nd marking period. If you didn’t do as well as you hoped in the first quarter, now is the opportunity to correct that and get off to a great start. If you performed well in quarter one, keep that same academic focused energy.
The deadline for selecting your senior portrait for the yearbook is quickly approaching! If you want your senior portrait in the yearbook, you must select it by this Saturday, November 15th. Selecting your photo is free. If you think you have selected your portrait, please contact CADY. If you do not select your photo, you will not be in the yearbook - If you have any questions, please stop by F213 to see Mr. Waeltz or Ms. Andrewlevich.
Today is an Advisory day and the first day of the 2nd marking period. We are on the adjusted Advisory schedule.
Reminder to all students in grades 9-12 that this Wednesday is an asynchronous day. So, students will not be in school. Be sure to take your laptops home and make sure they are charged. Your teachers will be providing additional details regarding your work for that day.
The required EASTERN Center assembly for 10th-grade students is on Thursday. All 10th grade students will attend during learn 1.
RED & BLACK NEWS:
The Red and Black teams are both accepting applications for captain and art captains. The last day for Red Team is this Friday, and the last day for the Black Team is November 21st
Yearbooks are still on sale. Scan the QR code found on TVs or around the school to place your order today.
Attention skiers and snowboarders. Ski club is currently accepting paperwork and payment for the upcoming winter trips. If you need more information about joining ski club, please see Mr. Nyce in room B209 or Mrs. Cassidy in H307.
Attention Freshman – Tuesday, November 11th, you will receive a pass in homeroom for a brief individual meeting with their counselor. If you do not receive a pass this morning, you will receive one in homeroom on the 11th. You should report to the library at the time listed on your pass. You will need to bring your laptop with you. If you cannot attend, the guidance office will be in touch to reschedule your meeting.
LUNCH & LEARN:
Please join Interact to write Holiday Cards for troops stationed overseas! Stop by room F209 during Learn 1 or 2 today and/or tomorrow to write the cards, which will be sent with care packages for members of the US Armed Services.
IN THE WORLD OF SPORTS:
Congrats to the Hatters Cheer Team who took First place and were named champions at their competition this weekend at Downingtown High School. They will compete at regionals next Sunday for a chance to go compete in nationals in Disney World!
Please note that the Winter Sports paperwork deadline has been extended to this Wednesday, November 12th at 12:00 PM (noon). Any paperwork submitted after this deadline will result in a delay to your ability to begin on Friday.
Be sure to come out, support and represent your grade at our flag football game night this Wednesday. The freshman vs. junior game is at 5pm and the sophomore vs senior game is at 6:30.
