Today is Friday, March 13th, and it’s a BLACK Day.
Today is an early dismissal. There will be grab and go lunches available. No late buses today. Reminder that there is no school for students on Monday.
March is Women’s History Month, and today’s fact is: Maya Angelou was a celebrated poet, author, and civil rights activist. Her autobiography, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, touched millions of readers around the world. Through her words, she encouraged courage, kindness, and strength. Maya Angelou reminds us that our stories and voices matter. THE MORE YOU KNOW
Starting March 23, we celebrate “Diversity is Our Strength”. There will be a table outside the cafe during lunch and learn that week to purchase a keychain for $1.
The Black student union will be hosting a dodgeball tournament. The tournament will take place from March 23–27 during Lunch & Learn in the aux gym, with the championship round held in the main gym on Friday. Sign-ups are due by March 18, and students can email Mrs. Welsh with any questions
Seniors – a reminder that the deadline to apply for community scholarships is March 31st
Juniors, Prom will be held on Friday, April 10th, Tickets are on sale on My School Bucks through March 22nd. Outside guests, need a form filled out and returned to the main office with a copy of your guest ID. Any questions, see Mrs. Meikrantz in the Athletic Office or Mrs. Miller in the Main Office.
Are you a male interested in having a career in the trades? A representative from Williamson College of the Trades will be providing an info session in the Library Classroom on Tuesday, March 17th, during Lunch and Learn. We look forward to seeing you there!
