3/9/21 Community Update

Dear Hatboro-Horsham Families:

We are pleased to report that there is a mass vaccination program for teachers and educators that is being conducted across the Commonwealth and coordinated within each county. The District’s day for vaccination has been designated as Monday, March 15. As a result, all Hatboro-Horsham School District schools will operate with the following modified schedule on Monday, 3/15/21, based on times that our employees are going to be vaccinated.

Monday (3/15/21):  All district schools will operate on an AM instructional day for in-person and remote learning. Asynchronous learning will occur in the PM. Lunches will be served. There will be no afternoon childcare. Early dismissal times:

    • High School at 11:30
    • Middle School at 12:00 pm
    • Elementary school at 12:30 pm

This first wave of vaccinations will include more than half of our staff, including teachers, support staff, bus drivers, and food service employees who still need the vaccine. The remaining staff will fall into the second wave of vaccinations, which is anticipated for the end of the month.  This is a 7-day/week operation, but the vaccination schedule is beyond the control of local school entities.  More details about that second wave will follow once they are made available to us.

Thank you for your flexibility with this important initiative.

Sincerely,

Scott T. Eveslage, Ed.D.

Superintendent
