Tip-Lines
A school district tip line has been established so that individuals can report drug activity, crimes, acts of violence, bullying incidents, a student in danger or any other situation that might present a threat to school safety.
Tips can be left by calling (215)-420-5100 or by sending an email to Email Hatboro-Horsham School District. Both the phone line and emails will be monitored by Mr. Kerrigan who will respond appropriately.
Depending upon the incident, information might be forwarded to building principals or directly to police if a threat is imminent.
Safe2Say Something
In 2018, Pennsylvania General Assembly came to the realization that we knew years ago. With the help of stakeholders, an anonymous tip line is an effective way to help students in crisis who are thinking about harming themselves or others. As a result of this realization, the Pennsylvania General Assembly passed Act 44 which, among other things, mandated the establishment of a statewide anonymous tip line. Pennsylvania is calling their tip line, Safe2Say Something (S2SS). Pennsylvania describes their Safe2Say Something Tip Line program as a "life-saving and life-changing school safety program that teaches students, educator, and now administrators how: (1) to recognize the signs and signals of individuals who may be at risk of hurting themselves or others and (2) to anonymously report this information through the S2SS app, website, or 24/7 Crisis center Hotline." Every school in Pennsylvania is mandated to participate in this initiative.
The Pennsylvania General Assembly mandated this initiative for grades 5-12. Even though the program is designed for grades 5-12 students, an anonymous tip could be submitted about a K-4 student. Calling the Safe2Say Something Hotline would be the best way to submit this type of tip.
Submitting a life safety tip through the Safe2Say something system can also be done through the mobile app, Safe2Say Something website, View Safe2Say Something, and by telephone 1-844-SAF2SAY.
