Elementary School Counseling
Elementary School Counseling Overview
HHSD Elementary School counselors are committed to students, families, and teachers to support the challenges and transitions which occur throughout their school years. The counselors promote awareness of and sensitivity to the unique needs of each student.
Our School Counselors adhere to the 3C’s of School Counseling:
Counseling: School Counselors meet with students individually, in small groups, and in the classrooms to provide the support necessary to be successful students, friends, and community members.
Collaboration: School Counselors collaborate with all members of our student’s team; teachers, administrators, parents/guardians, outside services, etc., to ensure the continuity and care of services.
Consultation: Counselors consult with parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, outside services, etc. to provide effective and productive ways to support students in being successful learners.
All Hatboro-Horsham Elementary schools, grades kindergarten through fifth grade, will be using the Zones of Regulation as a foundation for a universal language to nurture our student's emotional well-being.
