    Mrs. Mayrides

    Mrs. Mayrides has had the pleasure of working with children for over 30 years!  She began her professional career as a 4th grade teacher at Hallowell in 1990 before moving onto the “New” Simmons when the building opened on Babylon Rd in 1992.  Although Mrs. Mayrides enjoyed her role as a 4th grade teacher at Simmons for 15 years, she wanted an opportunity to better support the emotional and social needs of children.  After Acquiring her certification in school counseling at Gwynedd Mercy College, Mrs. Mayrides transitioned into her new “home” at Simmons as a school counselor.

    Mrs. Mayrides earned her Bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education  from LaSalle University in 1990 after completing her degree in psychology (from LaSalle) in 1989.  She then went on to complete her master’s program in special education at Trenton State University.

    Mrs. Mayrides loves the beach where she was fortunate to have met her husband, Nick.  Together they have 2 boys, Dylan (20) and Michael (18).  Mrs. Mayrides loves spending time with her family, including her 2 cats – Mr. Fuzzy Wig and Marley.  Camping and enjoying time at the beach are family faves!  They spent 5 weeks camping across America a few summers ago, where they experienced the beauty and wonder of many national parks.


    Ms. Fenn

    Since 2001, Ms. Fenn has worked at Simmons Elementary School.  She enjoys building relationships with students and their families. During the school day, Ms. Fenn teaches classroom lessons, helps solve problems and eats lunch with students. She also works with the 5th grade Student Leadership.

    Ms. Fenn is a licensed marriage and family therapist and a certified K-12 guidance counselor. Before working at Simmons Elementary, Ms. Fenn worked as a family therapist. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and crafting.
