FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a company that inspires young people with project-based, hands-on learning programs. FIRST introduces students to coding, programming, and engineering where students work together to solve a yearly robotics challenge.

Hatboro-Horsham has been involved with FIRST for several years. FIRST has four progression levels so that all grades can compete in this program.

• First Lego League Jr (FLL Jr)- Grades K-4
• First Lego League (FLL)- Grades 4-8
• First Tech Challenge (FTC)- Grades 7-12
• First Robotics Competition (FRC)- Grades 9-12
