Student Council

  • Student Council Mission Statement

We strive to make the student council experience educational, worthwhile, and memorable; while enjoying the fun, camaraderie, teamwork, and friendships that come from being in this great organization.  Our program is based on values of family, successful attitudes, chemistry and a service to others.  We believe in honesty, integrity, strength of character, care, and confidence.  We embrace a commitment to excellence, loyalty, selflessness and trust.  We teach overcoming adversity, establishing priorities, goal setting, and the value of diversity.  The Hatboro-Horsham family is where there are shared responsibilities, care, discipline, and an absence of special privileges. We succeed together or fail as individuals.

    Officers Philosophy

    •   Achievement requires sincere commitment from all officers and members.  For all of us to be successful, effective communication must occur and officers must be held accountable for specific tasks asked of them for the good of the order.
    •      The student council must be the beacon by which other organizations strive to emulate. In order for this to happen, we must be accountable, trustworthy and dedicated to the traditions, principals and ideals of the Hatboro-Horsham High School student council.
    •        We are continually attempting to improve communication with the students, teachers and administrators.  For our programs to be truly successful, it is necessary that everyone understand the focus and direction of the program.
    •       Our goal is to have fun while learning how to better serve our school and civic communities, while at the same time, balance academic, athletic and other responsibilities. There must always be a balance between the duties and privileges of being a student council member while also always striving to be overall excellent academic students.

    FROM THE ADVISOR'S DESK....

"I want to invite you along for a very special journey- a journey that will allow all of you student leaders to become better leaders.

YOU'RE HERE BECAUSE YOU ARE LEADERS.

But, not just for our student council, but also leaders in the classroom, in sports or anywhere else where 'you' can be 'you.'

THE CHALLENGE LIES WITHIN ALL OF YOU.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO MAKE YOUR STUDENT COUNCIL BETTER?

CHALLENGE YOURSELF, THAT'S WHAT A LEADER DOES.

    AND YOU ARE LEADERS.

    THIS IS YOUR STUDENT COUNCIL

I THINK IT WILL BE THE STUDENT COUNCIL THAT BROUGHT IN NEW BLOOD AND NEW LIFE AND MADE SURE THAT ALL ITS MEMBERS HAVE A VOICE.

REMEMBER, A TRUE LEADER DOESN'T POINT FINGERS-

Ask, WHAT CAN YOU DO TO MAKE THIS COUNCIL and YOUR SCHOOL BETTER?"
