    COURSE DESCRIPTION:

    This 0.5-credit course is for students of all skill levels— from the novice interested in developing basic drawing skills, to the more experienced artist interested in advancing and honing their skills.  With the Elements of Art and Principles of Design as a foundation, students will begin by drawing from life and reference images, and will eventually use their new skills and body of knowledge to create imaginative compositions.  Students will experience a variety of techniques and media including charcoal, pencil, pen, colored pencils, pastels, and markers.

     
    *This course is not a prerequisite, but students who enjoy this course should strongly consider taking Art Major I (1.0 credit)
    *Students who enjoy this course may also enjoy Illustrative Drawing for Comic Book Art (0.5 credit)
