• Message from the Assistant Superintendent

I am honored to join the Hatboro-Horsham School District and to have the opportunity to serve as the Assistant Superintendent.  The Hatboro and Horsham communities are rich in tradition, and I am excited to continue to promote excellence and opportunities for all our students.  I am committed to an enriching and meaningful educational experience in a safe and welcoming school environment for all students.  To accomplish this goal, I believe we achieve our best when we work together, harnessing our collective energy, insights, and experiences on behalf of our students.

My educational career began in the School District of Philadelphia as a high school English and History teacher.  During my time as a teacher, I worked with a diverse population of students in three different schools.  I was the principal of a middle-high, STEM-focused school in Philadelphia for eight years.  During this time, we were recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.  Immediately prior to joining HHSD, I served as an Assistant Superintendent in the School District of Philadelphia, overseeing 19 schools and 16,000 students.  I completed my undergraduate degree at Goucher College.  I received both a Master’s degree with a focus on Secondary English Education and a Doctoral degree in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education.  My wife is a teacher in the School District of Philadelphia, and we have two children.  Our family looks forward to attending school and community events to get to know all of you.

The focus of my work as the Assistant Superintendent is to promote continuity and excellence across all of our schools.  I am focused on supporting each of our students from Blair Mill, Crooked Billet, Hallowell, and Simmons through Keith Valley, and to graduation at Hatboro-Horsham High School.  Our ultimate success is evident in preparing our students for college, career, and citizenship as they leave our education system.  The Hatboro-Horsham School District is on the rise, and I am thrilled to join the Hatter community as we continue to work together to sustain a culture of belongingness and excellence.
