When I Grow Up Career Expo Information

  • At Hatboro-Horsham School District, our goal is to challenge and prepare our students to achieve their maximum potential. We want to provide innovative, educational programs that let students collaborate with educators, parents, and our community. And our local businesses are a critical part of this experience!

The “When I Grow Up” K-12 Career EXPO (WIGU) is a wonderful opportunity for businesses to engage with students of all ages. As a participating business, you will be able to help students discover their interests, talents, and possible careers.

The purpose of WIGU is to open the minds of our students by showcasing real-life work experiences with hands-on engagement. It is an excellent chance for the community and the District to work together to make a real impact on our students and their futures. Last year, we had over 50 businesses attend to demonstrate what they do and how they do it. The students, their parents, and teachers all had such a wonderful time learning about technology, healthcare, manufacturing, sustainability, and so much more.

As employers, you know recruiting and retaining talent is a top priority, and we must prepare young people for successful careers in our region.  In that spirit, we warmly invite you and your business to engage with our school community.   This is also a great opportunity for businesses and students to express interest in internships.
