    The school-based learning environmentwill provide a strong academic program focusing on those skills the studentswill need in order to obtain employment upon high school graduation. In otherwords, instruction will be driven by IEP goals and objectives based ontransition needs. Homework will be given to provide review of the skills yourchild is learning.  Homework assignmentswill be written in the daily assignment book. It is expected that they will becompleted and returned the following day, unless otherwise noted.  Parents are also asked to sign or initial theassignment book nightly.  This willensure ongoing communication between school and home.




    Academic Courses: Reading, math,social studies and science will be graded on a pass/fail basis.  Written reports on IEP goal and objectiveprogress will be mailed quarterly at report card time.


    Elective Courses: Elective courseswill be graded on a pass/fail basis, to be determined by the regular educationteacher, special education teacher and appropriate support personnel.


    Graduation Requirements: The programis designed to train students for life skills as well as employment.  Graduation eligibility will be determinedbased upon completion of IEP goals and objectives.
