At Crooked Billet Elementary School, we are very proud of our rich history! On May 1, 1778, the Battle of Crooked Billet (a Revolutionary War battle), was fought on the land on which our school stands. Each year on May 1st, our school community celebrates and honors those heroes that fought for our country’s freedom at the Battle of Crooked Billet. We are also excited about the future of our brand-new school! The original Crooked Billet Elementary School was built in 1950, and was demolished in the summer of 2018 so that construction of our new school could begin. Our new school community will be comprised of all children living within the borough of Hatboro, and will serve approximately 500 students from kindergarten through grade five. We also house students in our four-year old pre-school program. The staff at Crooked Billet Elementary School values all children as individual learners having unique needs. We are dedicated to providing academic, social, and emotional instruction to our children. Finally, we seek to develop strong partnerships with the Crooked Billet Elementary School families. We are fortunate to have an active Home and School Association providing a variety of activities for our students and families. I look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve our children, families, and the Crooked Billet community!
