Our website provides information about our school community, curriculum, and special activities. At Blair Mill we value each child as an individual and strive to meet his/her academic, social, and emotional needs. The Blair Mill Family is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence. The essence of this commitment is reflected in our Vision Statement, developed by staff and parents, which is built around the acronym RESPECT: Responsibility, Educational Achievement, Self and School Pride, Problem Solving and Critical Thinking, Enthusiasm for Learning, Curriculum Mastery and Total Participation in Learning. Engaging our students is critical to their academic success. Our dedicated staff values an integrated curriculum which reaches across all content areas. As we implement state standards, we try to expand opportunities for students to learn new skills, strategies, and concepts with application to real world tasks and issues. Students at Blair Mill also learn about responsibility, respect, citizenship, and problem solving through our Character Development Program. Our goal is to create a safe, caring environment that assists students in developing those skills which will carry them through life. We seek to build strong partnerships with our parents. Our belief at Blair Mill is that students learn more when parents are involved with their childs education and school. Parents are welcome to volunteer in classrooms and are encouraged to participate on HSA committees and support the many exciting and informative events which take place each month.
