The HHTV Crew is proud to be a part of the inaugural year of the Greenfield Youth Film Festival. The festival includes a day long workshop from film and broadcast industry professionals on writing, directing, editing, sound and cinematography. Students from HHTV are going head-to-head against other young filmakers from Upper Dublin, Wissahickon, Plymouth Whitemarsh and Central High School in Philadelphia.
The students representing Hatboro-Horsham this year spent countless hours in the high school TV studio and these are a few of the entries.

86400 is a film that emphasizes the importance of each second in the day. The message is that each second of our day is a tiny fraction of our everyday lives. If we did not have all 86400 seconds in the day and take the time to stop of really look at it, whats the point? We usually drive, talk and act too fast to really see many of these seconds of the day and unfortunately we never really stop to see them all or even to enjoy the view. Special thanks to Mr. Thomas' Broadcast Journalism class for the use of their timelapse project clips and to Seda Durgun of HHTV Crew for helping to find out how to slow down video and make it play in reverse.

My personal essay is about how President Obama has affected me. This video and audio soundtrack is about how I, as a 15-year old, was influenced by him into hoping that America will become a better place. Its also about how I learned that I am not too young to care about my country. The soundtrack was made by editing the theme from Disneys Soarin attraction and combined with more than a dozen clips from the Presidents speeches from the 2004 Democratic National Convention to his Election night acceptance speech.

A young musician from central Pennsylvania, Nate Glass, performed this song at the state Student Council conference this past fall. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas brought it back to H-H and Nate offered us the rights to it and allowed us to make a music video of his amazing song. I chose to use it because the message of the song is incredible! It tells people that in their own small way, they can change the world and I am a strong believer in that too. The video just illustrates the ways people can help change the world and make it a better place with even the smallest gestures. As they lyrics say; Open up now, take a look around, do you like what you see or do you want to tear it down? So many things we can change, so what do you say, can you rise up against what stands in your way.. it all begins with you.

Desire- I made this video because of the Hatboro-Horsham football team didnt make the playoffs in a very long time before their game with Upper Darby in 2006. The Hatters won by a point because of their desire. This short film shows the players and coaches desire to win not only this football game but every game and every time they step on the field.
