Comprehensive School Climate Inventory
The School District of Hatboro-Horsham administered the Comprehensive School Climate Inventory to students, parents, and school personnel in May 2008. School climate refers to the quality of school life which includes norms, values, inter-personal relationships, social interactions, and organizational processes and structures. Our intent in conducting the survey was to gain a better understanding of how district stakeholders felt about their schools. There were 3,268 students (grades 4-12), 606 school personnel (support and professional), and 1,583 parents (grades K-12) who participated in the survey. Approximately 95% of the stakeholders completed the survey electronically.
The Comprehensive School Climate Inventory (CSCI) was developed by the Center for Social and Emotional Education (CSEE). Listed below are The 10 Dimensions of School Climate that were measured. They included:
- Physical Safety
- Social-Emotional Safety
- Quality of Instruction

We are pleased to share the survey results with parents, guardians, community members, and the public. The survey data revealed many strengths district-wide that we can build upon, as well as some opportunities for growth that we will work together to improve.
