Welcome to the web site for Simmons Elementary School.  We hope that you return often for updates about our school curriculum and student activities.

Simmons Elementary School serves almost 700 students in kindergarten through grade 5.  We are located at 411 Babylon Road, adjacent to the Hatboro-Horsham High School.  We focus on educating the whole child and believe that every child can be successful.  At Simmons Elementary School, we reach for the STARS:  Student leadership, Teamwork, Academic excellence, Respect for each other, and Success for all.

Our experienced, dedicated faculty is committed to helping our students reach their academic potential, while also being responsible citizens in our school community.  In addition to instruction in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, our students participate in art, health, physical education, library, music, and technology classes.   In the 2015-16 school year, we are implementing a new English Language Arts series, Wonders, which is aligned with the Pennsylvania Core Standards.  Several of our teachers are implementing a hybrid learning model of instruction, featuring small group instruction and the use of tablet computers.

Simmons Elementary School is supported by an active Home and School Association.  The HSA plans a variety of family activities throughout the school year.  Being part of the HSA offers many volunteer opportunities for parents, with flexible schedules to meet the needs of today’s busy families.  Be sure to visit their web page to learn more about ways to get involved.

As the educational leader of this school community since 2007, I enjoy working with our students, families, faculty, and community to continue the strong tradition of academic excellence at Simmons Elementary School.  Please feel free to contact me with any comments, suggestions, or concerns.
